Some Amazing Wedding Photos

A friend of mine is getting married this summer, and I’ve been given the task of finding a top notch wedding photographer to capture the day. Naturally I thought this would be a good opportunity to write a blog post, so let me know what you think of these…

Borrowed & Blue Productions

I found these guys on the first page of Google, and with great wedding photos like this it’s no wonder they’re so popular…

Imagine having photos like that to remember forever! I especially like this one as well…

The bride looks so happy in this wedding photo, the photographer did a great job capturing the emotion of the moment!

This is a great photo too. Very traditional, and I like how the photographer has highlighted the wedding ring slightly. I wonder what kind of filter he used for this shot…

Bride & Groom

This might be my favorite of the bunch. Very simple, but I can’t imagine this couple looking happier than they do at this moment. They’ll cherish this wedding photo forever.

So, those are my opinions. But what do you guys think? I’d love to hear your feedback before I contact Borrowed & Blue so leave your comments below!

The Nikon 1 V1 DSLR Boasts New Motion Snapshot Technology

Compact system cameras (CSC) are taking over the market. For this review, we got our hands on Nikon 1 V1 digital camera. Like the rest of the compact system cameras, this Nikon product leaves the optical viewfinder and reflex mirror behind. However, the Nikon 1 V1 makes it possible for the users to interchange lenses. Like a previous camera we reviewed, this is like having a DSLR minus the bulk. In fact, this is considered to be the lightest and most compact of all interchangeable lens-capable camera.

This beauty sports 10.1 megapixel resolution. Not only that, taking videos from this camera will take you to a whole new level as it features a Full HD video capability. Another thing, the V1 does an effective way of keeping the noise down despite its smaller sized sensor. Furthermore, Nikon claims that the AF for the 1 Series is “the world’s fastest autofocus.” What makes their claim legit? The V1 packs 73 AF points. How cool is that?

Another feature we loved about the Nikon 1 V1 is the Motion Snapshot mode. Placing your V1 to this setting will give more than outstanding results. Photos taken with the Motion Snapshot setting will show more detail than you thought possible. How is this possible? As an example, try taking a photograph of surfers riding the waves with the Motion Snapshot. From its 3-inch LCD screen, look at the photo and expect to be overcome by some sort of emotion just from looking at the still photo. That is what Motion Snapshot is all about.

Nikon 1 V1 is more or less similar to another camera belonging to the 1 Series, the Nikon J1. However, the V1 is a bit more expensive and will most likely be favored by professional photographers. Nikon J1 would hit it off pretty well with the ladies though. Both cameras maybe smaller than the DSLRs, but it doesn’t mean that they can’t deliver. In fact, these cameras will be perfect for photo enthusiasts who desire a compact but an ultimately reliable camera. Newbies in the photography department, may aslo grab this Nikon product as it features automatic exposure modes, which they can use from time to time. As they go on learning the basics of photography, they can set their Nikon 1 V1 or J1 to either Aperture, Manual, Program, or Shutter Priority. They’ll feel like pros in no time.

In terms of connectivity, the V1 will come with either a high definition or standard definition video output as well as a 2.O High Speed USB.

To wrap it up, there are lots of good stuff going for  Nikon 1 V1. For one, creativity is taken up a notch. Next, it boasts of innovative design and technology. However, users should be careful with the dial as it is possible to accidentaly rotate it to another setting.

Nikon 1 V1 and a 10-30mm zoom lens will be included in the package. Consumers can choose between 2 colors for the Nikon V1 – black or white.

Canon EOS 550D Digital SLR Camera

Canon is one of the most trusted and most popular camera brands in the market. A lot of professional photographers and photography enthusiasts alike are all excited upon the announcement of the release of Canon EOS 550D Digital SLR Camera, Canon’s latest offering to
the market.

Canon EOS 55D side

The Canon EOS 550D Digital SLR Camera offers a lot of new features that makes it all exciting. Its plastic chassis body feels stiff, sturdy and heavy-duty despite of not having the tough alloy frame Canon 7D have. It also feels lighter which makes it more portable too. It is convenient for people who like to take photographs while traveling.

EOS 550D has a rear LCD that measures around three inches. The text is easier to read and the photos and videos are easier to view in the Live View mode. However, the top viewfinder is quite smaller compared to the rear LCD. The top mode dial also looks crowded with all those exposure presets being presented. If you are an experienced photographer, you would probably feel quite annoyed. Those presets would just be truly appreciated by an amateur photographer.

One of its key features is its 18 megapixel CMOS sensor. It is ideal for those that are planning to create prints that are bigger than posters or those who are planning to crop images without losing details for printing. It also has a a DIGIC 4 processor that works well with its CMOS processor to deliver 14-bit image processing. This enables the smooth gradation, natural looking colors as its result. It also has advanced noise reduction when shooting at high ISO speeds (it
ranges up to 6400, expandable up to 12800 for those environment where flash is undesirable) with split-second start up times and near-instant image review. It also has an IFCL metering system which is a 63-zone dual layer metering sensor that helps to analyze focus, luminance and color information to main accuracy and consistency in metering photo quality.

The Canon EOS 550D Digital SLR Camera also has the ability to record full high definition movies. EOS 550D enables to user to exercise his creative freedom and be able to satisfy it, so the full manual control and selectable frame rates will be definitely enjoyed being tweaked. Shooting at 720P at 50/60 fps is recommended when shooting a high speed sequence. The movie crop feature is also very useful, since it enables the user to shoot at an effective zoom of 7x. it also uses only the center part of the sensor and allows long distance shooting without having to change the camera’s lenses.

EOS 550D has indeed a very impressive good performance especially when it comes to its ISO capabilities and that of recording high definition movies. The detailed shots it can record and produce are exquisite, especially when you take a look of the fine details of the images and videos. It is very easy to use and definitely an upgrade from your typical entry level DSLR. Its price is definitely reasonable considering all the features you will be going to enjoy.
